The Anti-Corruption Branch today registered an FIR against a company of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's late brother-in-law in the alleged PWD scam.
While one FIR has been filed against Kejriwal's relative Surender Bansal, two other FIRs are in the name of two companies.
Bansal reportedly died of a brain stroke in Delhi on Monday.
Awasthi said he had submitted a complaint to Delhi Police for a probe into Bansal's death.
The complaint also mentioned Kejriwal as an accused, but the FIRs did not name Kejriwal.
The complainant has alleged documents showing purchase of material were "concocted and forged", and a loss of over Rs 10 crore had been caused to the public exchequer.
ACB chief Mukesh Meena confirmed the registration of the 3 FIRs.

The complaint was filed in January by Roads Anti-Corruption Organisation (RACO) - an NGOthat claims to monitor public works.
On Sunday, Kejriwal was accused by Mishra of taking Rs 2 crore from another cabinet minister.
It had alleged that the bills sent to the PWD for the works, which were not completed, were "false and fabricated". Bansal, a civil servant has been alleged of awarding contracts to the dummy companies run by him.
Bansal obtained contracts in 2015-16 for works, which never got executed, while all the payments have been cleared, it said.
The invoices (purportedly obtained through an RTI application by RACO from the PWD) pertaining to the project were sent to the Sales Tax department for verification.
