Klopp's Reaction To Can's Wonder Strike As Good As The Goal Itself

Rita Gibson | 10 May, 2017, 00:17

Well if anybody can, it's Emre Can.

Those moments livened an otherwise boring game in Hertfordshire where Watford's steadfast defence largely stood strong against the fluidity of the Liverpool attack.

"I felt I got into the game quite quickly, I didn't feel like I'd lost too much rhythm".

Thankfully, his departure in the 13th minute of Monday night's game didn't stop Jurgen Klopp's side from going on to claim a valuable three points.

Were it not for Emre Can's remarkable bicycle kick (more about that later), this would have been another disappointing result following another drab performance from the Reds.

Liverpool went close with a couple of efforts from distance, Can extending Heurelho Gomes from range and Lallana rattling the bar with a stunning 20-meter volley after Gomes had punched clear.

As reported by the club's official website, Klopp said: "If you're not positive [about Can] after this game, this goal, then something is wrong!"

"I didn't think too much and then I scored and I think I will never score a goal like that again".

Can added, "The most important thing was three points after knowing what happened yesterday". It was a special goal but I'm very happy that we got the three points'.

Sidewalk Labs may build a smart city hub in Toronto
Sidewalk Labs has discussed creating an entire micro-city or district that could showcase the company's ideas for urban planning. A Sidewalk Labs representative declined to comment on whether the company has submitted a bid.

His team merited this, for all Watford's exasperation at a flag-happy assistant referee.

The Germany global scored a crucial victor for Liverpool against Watford on Monday night and it could turn out be a big goal in the race for a top four finish this season for the Reds.

The German coach, whose side are now third with 69 points, couldn't find enough words of praise for his compatriot after the game.

The goal from the German global was unquestionably one of the best seen in the Premier League in 2016-17.

"If you look at all Liverpool's games, they usually create five or six clear chances", said the Italian.

"We didn't play ideal tonight and it would have been hard to accept, but we got the three points and that is all that the lads deserved".

"He had a problem with his calf [earlier in the season] but we had no possibility to leave him out, it was not possible for us".

"We didn't play ideal, but it would've been really hard to accept. Even he can play better than he did tonight, but I'm not sure he can score nicer goals!"
