The No. 4-ranked University of MI rowing team will compete in its 10th consecutive NCAA Championships weekend, the NCAA announced today (Tuesday, May 16).

The NCAA announced the field for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championships today, and four Pac-12 squads were selected. Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin earned berths into the national event, marking the first time five conference teams earned championship berths and the eighth time in the last nine years at least four conference teams have participated in the NCAA Championships.

The Ivy League and the Metro Atlantic Conference will each serve as hosts of the championship regatta.

Match Reports: Manchester City 3-1 West Bromwich Albion
Yaya Toure scored perhaps a farewell goal for the club, and the team virtually guaranteed a place in the Champions League. Guardiola was speaking at a press conference to preview Tuesday's final home game of the campaign against West Brom .

Stanford is coming off a third-place team finish in the Pac-12 Championships this past weekend at Lake Natoma in Gold River.

The varsity eight and second varsity eight both finished third, while the varsity four placed fourth in the Grand Final of the conference regatta. Washington earned the conferences automatic bid, while OREGON STATE, Stanford, and California were at-large selections. Teams qualifying for the championship as an automatic qualifier or as an at-large are required to field three boats - first varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four.

The varsity eight will be the No. 6 seed, with heat racing beginning Friday at 9 a.m. Last Sunday (May 14), MI finished in second place by one point at the 2017 Big Ten Rowing Championships, highlighted by wins from the 2V8, 1V4, 3V4 and 1N8 boats. The three boats from each school will compete for individual national titles while earning points toward the overall team championship.
