The United States has imposed sanctions on Venezuela's chief judge and seven other members of the country's Supreme Court.

"The Venezuelan people are suffering from a collapsing economy brought about by their government's mismanagement and corruption".

The Venezuelan diplomatic head described on her Twitter account this decision as unprecedented and unacceptable, after imposing sanctions on members of a sovereign and independent Public Power, violating global and Venezuelan laws. The high court is dominated by loyalists of President Nicolas Maduro.

The agency said the justices were responsible for a number of rulings in the past year that have usurped the authority of Venezuela's democratically-elected legislature, the National Assembly.

Ford Offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto Update to 2016 Owners
Even with a dealer visit and hardware upgrade for CarPlay, this sounds like a worthwhile thing for 2016 vehicle owners to do. If you're feeling "with it" technologically, it's also available via Ford's first-ever Wi-Fi update.

Among those sanctioned is Maikel Jose Moreno Perez, president of the Supreme Court.

Through the order, the judges will have their assets within USA jurisdiction frozen, and US citizens will be prohibited from doing business with them. How is that possible? "And hopefully that will change", said Trump.

Venezuela has repeatedly condemned Washington's constant attacks and interferences, including the Treasury Department's claim to link Venezuelan Executive Vice-President Tareck El Aissami with alleged drug trafficking.
