US security agency should take some blame for 'ransomware' attack: China

Chinese media pinned some of the blame for the massive global cyberattack that affected more than 300,000 computers over the weekend on the United States.

China Daily said that National Security Agency of US should carry some responsibility for the attack which marks susceptibilities in Microsoft Corp systems and has septic about 30,000 Chinese officialdoms till Saturday.

China Daily said the US had hindered efforts to stop global cyber threats after the WannaCry attack.

China is preparing to enforce a wide-reaching cyber security law that USA business groups say will threaten the operations of foreign firms in the country with strict local data storage laws and stringent surveillance requirements.

Some security researchers have said that it was possible for the North Korea-linked Lazarus Group to be behind the attack, but added that they would have to do more research.
