A violent confrontation Tuesday evening outside the Turkish ambassador's residence in Northwest Washington resulted in 11 people being injured.
The assault on pro-Kurd protesters occurred shortly after Erdogan's Tuesday meeting with Trump at the White House.
After his talk with Erdogan, the bodyguard walks towards the protesters and Turkish security personnel at the residence of Turkish ambassador attack them immediately after Erdoğan's bodyguard approaches towards them.
Washington's Metropolitan Police Department said it had arrested two U.S. residents Ayten Necmi, 49, and Jalal Kheirabadi, 42, over the incident.
"Violence is never an appropriate response to free speech, and we support the rights of people everywhere to free expression and peaceful protest", the statement read.
