Amazon launches Echo Show

Kayla Schwartz | 20 May, 2017, 04:26

The Amazon Echo Show was revealed today for $230 Dollars and with all the fancy features of voice assistant Alexa and more. Another feature called Drop In allows users to send messages to other Echo Show devices "for the special cases when you want to connect with your closest friends and family", Amazon said.

Looking to buy two Amazon Echo Shows? It's pretty insane. It does everything the original Echo does, but it also has a screen that allows Alexa to, well, show you things.

Amazon finally launched a new version of its Echo speaker called the Echo Show, which comes with in-built touch screen and Alexa- virtual digital assistant.

Always Dreaming Heavily Favored in Early Preakness Wagering
Or like Animal Kingdom in 2011. "Historically, I think the horses that have run well in the Derby run back well in the Preakness". Always Dreaming will attempt to be the fourth Kentucky Derby victor in the last six years to finish first in the Preakness.

The Show is a radical departure from previous Echo devices as it can provide you with information visually (via its screen) as well as through sound. You might, for example, call the Echo Dot in your parents house, or the Alexa app on your wife's iPhone. And if your contact has another Echo device with a camera, you'll be able to do video calling as well. In late April, Amazon unveiled the Echo Look, which sports a camera to judge your outfits, for $200.

What is Amazon Alexa calling and messaging? So if you ask it for a weather forecast you'll get a graphic representation as well as a spoken reply.

Amazon today introduced a new voice-enabled Alexa personal assistant with a video screen. Obviously, you both need to have Alexa access for this to work, but Amazon plans to make this feature available to owners of the Echo devices as well as anyone using the Alexa app. Called the Amazon Echo Show, the device is now up for pre-orders on Amazon, and is priced at $229.99, which translates to about Rs 15,000.
