The App Review guidelines were updated this week to accommodate App Store policy changes and new rules for usage of frameworks introduced in iOS 11, like MusicKit.

Should mobile device users worry about ransomware-infected apps?

In the new App Store the entire featured tab on the home page has now been changed to "Today" tab with more focus on curated content and giving the App Store editors a more active role in daily lives of Apple consumers. The app is a game called Pepe Scream, which looks similar to the game Flappy Bird. This new paragraph requires developers to use the official in-app rating UI added in iOS 10.3 and states that they "will disallow custom review prompts" going forward ...

- App Store customer reviews can be an integral part of the app experience, so you should treat customers with respect when responding to their comments.

The Apple Music app has been given new social functionality to let you know what friends are listening to.

Jeremy Corbyn predicts another general election this year
Her government has already triggered Article 50 of the EU Lisbon treaty which could see Britain formally leave the EU by March 30, 2019.

More importantly, the API limits the number of prompts that can be sent to three a year.

Apple won't allow third-party apps to ask you to leave the app altogether, but instead will offer an alternative that allows you to give it a star rating without having to leave the app you're using.

We've all seen them: those really annoying prompts within our favorite iOS apps that beg us for a review or rating. It also serves as a check against nuking one's review score, if a lot of users who previously reviewed can't be prompted again for a year.

Apart from the 3D sensing capabilities, the iPhone 8 front camera is expected to feature a laser and infrared sensor with support for Apple's new ARKit, which is now said to be under development. Users are also given control as to whether or not they even want to see review prompts at all. If that results in more reviews - and reviews from users who aren't annoyed about switching apps - that's a good thing for developers, too. With iOS 11, developers will be able to preserve their ratings across multiple versions of their apps.
