Jenner's comments on the incident began in a way more appropriate manner: "Nobody deserves what happened out there". There's insane people in the world - we know that ...

"As far as the people that were injured, it's an absolute shame", Jenner continued.

One of them mocked a previous tragedy involving Jenner.

Caitlyn Jenner told a republican gathering that "Liberals can't even shoot straight".

The comments were broadcast on a Facebook Live video which has since been deleted.

Caitlyn Jenner riled up liberals and delighted Republicans with a cutting joke about the Alexandria attack by a Trump-hating gunman that left Rep. Steve Scalise in critical condition last week. Lobbyist Matt Mika was shot multiple times and critically injured, and remained hospitalized.

Caitlyn Jenner has been criticised for making political comments about the GOP congressional baseball practice shooting. We have to minimise that kind of stuff.

Jenner's remarks at the convention came in the form of a question and answer session where a moderator incorporated questions submitted by college students in the audience. "Liberals can't even shoot straight", Jenner joked.

She also noted that Crystal Griner, the lesbian Capitol Police officer who was injured in her efforts to defend Scalise and others,"wasn't thinking about LGBT issues, she wasn't thinking about any of those types of things". This is Disgusting. Absolutely shameful.

Others simply used the opportunity to criticize her politics, without reference to the shooting.

Many on social media compared this comment to Jenner's 2015 vehicle crash which left a woman dead.
