Yanez then describes what happened, saying, "He was sitting in the vehicle, seat belted".

The squad vehicle video, as well as other evidence from the investigation, has come out four days after Officer Jeronimo Yanez was found not guilty of manslaughter for fatally shooting the school cafeteria worker in his auto as his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter were sitting with him.

Unlike Reynolds' video, the squad-car video shows the situation's quick escalation and the shooting itself.

Prosecutors in the case argued that Castile was merely trying to reach for his wallet so he could hand over the driver's license Yanez had asked him to produce just seconds before the shooting.

The Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile said he thought Castile would act recklessly because he smelled marijuana in his auto.

The newly-released footage shows Yanez having a calm conversation with Castile about why he pulled him over.

Minnesota officials on Tuesday released dashcam footage showing the fatal police shooting of Philando Castile by officer Jeronimo Yanez, who was acquitted by a jury last Friday of second-degree manslaughter.

Before Castile could finish his sentence, Yanez drew his own gun.

State Department presses North Korea to release detained Americans
The secret negotiations over Warmbier's release are some of the only known direct contacts between the nations in recent years. Warmbier died at a Cincinnati hospital just days after North Korea released him from captivity in a coma, his family said.

Yanez, 29, testified that he clearly saw Castile's gun and that Castile disregarded his commands not to pull it out. The backup officer, Joseph Kauser, who later said he was surprised by the shooting, stands at ease near the passenger's window then suddenly hurries back toward the police auto after the shots are fired.

Yanez did not tell Castile not to reach down, but rather not to take the gun out.

It appeared to be a routine traffic stop - Officer Jeronimo Yanez, who had been searching for a robbery suspect, pulls over Castile for a broken tail light. Castile notifies the officer that he is carrying a firearm, and the officer tells him "don't reach for it" and "don't pull it out". At this, Yanez is seen laying his right hand on the gun in his holster. The officer said he fired because he feared for his life.

"You just killed my boyfriend", Reynolds, Castile's girlfriend, is heard yelling, as Yanez screams "fuck" several times.

Castile says, "I'm not reaching for it".

"The City of St Anthony has concluded that the public will be best served if Officer Yanez is no longer a police officer in our city", according to a police statement.

Kauser would later say that he was "absolutely" surprised when Yanez opened fire.

Yanez's attorney, Earl Gray, told the jury of five women and seven men during the trial that his client "did what he had to do".
