UK Labour leader Corbyn will 'try to force early election'

Freda Brock | 25 June, 2017, 05:32

Things have changed drastically for both politicians in the last three weeks, as the same poll in the days before the General Election had Mrs May with 43% approval and Mr Corbyn on 32%.

Corbyn is ahead of the PM as 35 per cent voted for him and 34 per cent voted for May, nearly a third of people were not sure.

May said she expected any offer by Britain to be matched by the European Union for the 1.2 million Britons living in the bloc.

Corbyn overcame unfavourable media coverage and a lack of support from within his own party to surge Labour's representation in the House of Commons in the 8 June vote - resulting in a hung parliament.

For 18 to 20-year-olds the rate is £5.60 an hour, while for 21 to 24-year-olds it is £7.05.

Under Mr Corbyn's proposal, they would all be paid almost £21,000 per year - likely to prove unaffordable for many businesses.

President Trump Casts Doubt Over Special Counsel Mueller's Impartiality
The President also said some of the staffers that Mr Mueller has hired for his investigation "are all Hillary Clinton supporters". Trump cited this week's Republican victory in a special congressional election in the southeastern state of Georgia.

Mr Corbyn also used his address to the conference to link the Grenfell Tower fire, which is thought to have killed at least 79 people, to "austerity economics".

"The Government is supporting local authorities to do that and together we are making sure that the resources are there to ensure that what is needed to keep people safe is done".

Jeremy Corbyn is the "man of the moment" and can lead the Labour party into government, Harriet Harman has said.

"When this was put to the Prime Minister she said that there are "complex reasons" for people having to use foodbanks".

"We are ready for another election at any time to finish the job to beat the failed, clapped out Tories and form a government that works for all".

Sam Bowman of the Adam Smith Institute, a free-market think-tank, told The Sun: "When you raise the minimum wage too much, businesses don't take on as many workers and they'll prefer older, more experienced ones to younger, riskier hires".
