The mystery of the four men's disappearances transfixed the Philadelphia area over the past week, taking a grisly turn when human remains were discovered in a 12½-foot-deep grave on the farm.
Patrick's body was found in a six-foot grave elsewhere on the property.
DiNardo and Sean Michael Kratz, both 20, are charged with criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, robbery, abuse of a corpse and possession of a weapon. "In exchange for that confession, Mr. DiNardo was promised by the District Attorney that he will spare his life by not invoking the death penalty".

A day after a man here confessed to his role in killing four Pennsylvania men whose disappearances set off an intensive search, questions remained Friday about what unfolded in the rolling hills north of Philadelphia.
Patrick disappeared on July 5, and the rest were last seen two days later.
Kratz and DiNardo were together on July 7 when they picked up Dean Finocchiaro and brought him to the farm property to sell him a quarter pound of marijuana for $700. They walked to a remote part of the property, where DiNardo said he fatally shot Patrick with a.22-caliber rifle. There, Kratz allegedly shot him as he left a barn on the farm.
Weintraub said the investigation remains open, but he is confident police have the two suspects in custody.
DiNardo allegedly gave his cousin a.357 handgun that belonged to his mom and drove Finocchiaro back to the farm. However, Kratz told police that Dinardo was the one who shot Finocchiaro. DiNardo shot him a second time - but claimed Finnochario was already dead.
That same night, DiNardo told authorities he arranged a deal with Meo.
DiNardo told police he then ran over Meo's body with a backhoe, before he and Kratz put the bodies in the metal tank with Finocchiaro.
Dinardo allegedly poured gasoline into the tank and lit it, the complaint says.
As a law enforcement official escorted a shackled DiNardo from the courthouse on Thursday, he said, "I'm sorry". DiNardo then retrieved a backhoe, digging a six-foot-hole to bury Patrick's body, the affidavit says.
