According to ESPN, the Cavaliers are pursuing free agent guard Derrick Rose on a short deal.

Rose was traded last summer from the Bulls to the Knicks, where he averaged 18 points and 4.4 assists for a NY team that ended the season 30-52.

Rose joined the Knicks last off-season in a trade with Chicago, where the point guard played the first seven seasons of his career.

In April of this year, Rose tore the meniscus in his left knee, and didn't play for the rest of the season.

Rose has drawn interest this offseason from Minnesota, Milwaukee and the Clippers. Over his career, he averaged 19 points and 6.5 assists.
