HMD Global's flagship Android smartphone, the Nokia 8, is set to launch in India next week. HMD Global has started sending out invites for an event, which will be held on September 26.

Widely touted as the first true Nokia flagship, the Nokia 8 is placed as direct competition to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8.

This makes the launch assumption all the more certain since the invite says "There are two sides to every story". It comes in Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel and Polished Copper colors.

Gina Torres And Laurence Fishburne Are Over
We're told that Torres and her new beau spent over an hour having lunch at the Sweet Butter cafe in Los Angeles. Laurence also has two other kids from his previous marriage to Hajna O.

The smartphone is expected to go on sale in early October, sticking to the timeline shared by an HMD Global representative during the Nokia 8's global launch in London last month.

The rest of the specifications on the handset remain the same, these include a a 5.3 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The selfie camera on the front is a 13MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture lens and Full HD video capture support. It comes with Fingerprint sensor under its home button. Being IP54 rated places the Nokia 8 in the "splash-proof" category. Nokia 8 has a portrait mode as well, called live bokeh in the camera app. Nokia 8 sold in Europe only features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. It is powered by the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core 64-bit flagship SoC, with graphics being powered by the Adreno 540 GPU.

Nokia 8 features 13MP+13MP dual rear cameras, which has a coloured and monochrome sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP secondary camera with Phase detection autofocus, 78.4˚ lens, f/2,0 aperture and display flash. The feature provides a split-screen view in the viewfinder and allows you to use the front and rear camera at the same time for capturing both photos and videos. The phone is likely to be launched with a dual SIM option. Apart from this, the smartphone also offers various connectivity options which include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB 3.1 Type-C port for superfast charging and data transfer.
