Health officials are investigating 12 cases of Legionnaires' disease traced to Anaheim, California, including nine cases among visitors to Disneyland in September.

Crowds fill rafts to Tom Sawyer Island with New Orleans Square in the background sometime in 2015. Those who were afflicted ranged in age from 52 to 94. According to health officials, the person who died in connection to the Disneyland outbreak had additional health issues. The deceased had not visited Disneyland, the Register reports. Disney took the towers out of service November 1, performed more testing and disinfection, and brought them back into service November 5.

Of the 12 cases of Legionnaire's disease that emerged in September, nine were among people who visited Disneyland in September.

Disneyland shut down two bacteria-contaminated cooling towers after the cases of the disease were reported.

Disney took the towers out of service again on Tuesday because the health agency required they remain down until test results verify they are free of Legionella contamination.

According to a LA Times report, Disney reported on November 3 that routine testing had detected elevated levels of Legionella in two cooling towers a month earlier, and the towers had been disinfected.

According to the DiRocco and Terrell report, Ramsey apparently wasn't done with the Bengals and Green after the ejections. Both benches cleared, and it took several minutes before order was restored. "I don't want to talk about it or anything".

"These towers were treated with chemicals that destroy the bacteria and are now shut down", said Hymel.

Disneyland was informed of the Anaheim cases on October 27 and after testing found that two cooling towers had elevated levels of Legionella bacteria. The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and this station. Legionnaires' disease is spread by bacteria in water vapor.

The health agency said there is no ongoing risk to the public and no other cases have been reported, although they cautioned public health officials to be aware of the situation. It is not contagious from person to person. Those at higher risk include people over the age of 50 with weak immune systems or lung problems.

People generally contract the disease two days after exposure and usually can be treated with antibiotics, though the CDC said one in 10 people die from the infection.

Orange County has recorded more than 55 cases of the disease this year and the number of cases in the county has increased in recent years.
