Call of Duty: WW2 devs accidentally gave everyone double XP from launch

This update which aimed to solve some issues for the game impacted server performance so severely that Sledgehammer Games moved the game to P2P connections. While playing on the Xbox One Sunday evening we saw several disconnects that are typical of a P2P server environment when a host migration fails.

However, the good news is that developers are going to go back dedicated servers soon.

Dedicated servers, meanwhile, are being tested in the USA ahead of a full roll out.

Part of those efforts include moving back to dedicated servers, a system that was temporarily dropped when a recent update caused problems for online connections. However, we also know we've had issues, there's frustration. Our objective to return to dedicated servers is our highest priority.

Checking now, error code #65568 shows up for me and the usual:The Call of Duty: WWII service is unavailable at this time. This level of data and diagnostics is helping us work toward a permanent solution as quickly as possible.

As far as the social space known as Headquarters is concerned, it hasn't been working as intended by any means since it was unveiled.

"We also want to reinforce our commitment to PC fans".

For the time being, fixing Headquarters is low priority for Sledgehammer, and while it will get to fixing the social space, it is now focusing on "the most pressing concerns first". "We won't rest until we resolve everything we can for the community". "So hang in there while we address the most pressing concerns first", said Sledgehammer.

"Come Monday, when we turn off the XP bonus, it will effectively revert to what we should have had at launch (aka 1XP)". This new update will be rolled out to console players before coming to PC. For this reason, we'll wait a bit longer before deploying the patch to the PC in order to ensure everything is the way it needs to be first. This means you can not complete the early social challenge without privately inviting friends to play.

KitGuru Says: It's still early days for Call of Duty: WWII but these issues should have been discovered before its release.
