After a lengthy transfer saga over the summer, in which it is known that Liverpool rejected as much as £118m for Coutinho from Barca, the ongoing saga looks as if it could pick up where it left off as the January transfer window approaches.

Liverpool have this evening been handed positive news regarding the fitness of midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who has declared himself "100% fit" for Brazil's upcoming clash with England.

The playmaker has been struggling in recent weeks with a thigh injury, which has caused him to miss Liverpool's previous three outings.

"Every day, I work harder than before to improve myself and become a better all-around footballer". "Football has been very generous for me".

15 - Mohamed Salah has had a hand in 15 goals in all comps this season (12 goals, 3 assists), more than any other Liverpool player.

Liverpool return to Premier League action after the worldwide break when they face Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds are now fifth in the Premier League, three points below a top four place, having won five of their 11 games so far during the 2017-18 campaign. "Now I feel 100% fit, I have recovered and I am in a good shape to be available for the game against England", Coutinho added. I never want to miss any Brazil games.

"Wearing the yellow shirt is always a real honour".

'England will be our first European opponent under (coach) Tite. "We are looking forward to competing against them", he said.

However the 25 year old is set to put his fitness at risk and play for his country during their game against England on Tuesday. Coutinho, meanwhile, has said that for the moment he is happy at Liverpool.
