He said that he had, about one month ago, provided money and other logistics needed for the smooth conduct of the election and advised unit heads to work closely with their subordinates.

Regardless of the threats and uncertainty, the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmud Yakub and the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris will Tuesday meet with candidates of the Anambra governorship election.

It added that no armed security personnel would be allowed within the polling units, adding that armed police detachments on patrol vehicles would patrol the streets and other locations throughout the state to prevent crime.

"What the good people of Anambra State should watch out for is the well-known rigging antics of INEC".

Human rights groups under the aegis of the Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations (SCBHROs) have urged registered voters in Anambra State to exercise their rights and vote in the November 18 governorship election in the state.

"A country like Nigeria riddled with institutionalised injustice can not conduct a free and fair election".

The IPOB leadership, according to the groups, should desist from further threats of violence against the Anambra State voting population and restrict its appeal for an election boycott to voluntary appeal. We will not participate, we will not vote.

"There are already a number of disgruntled citizens in Anambra State who believe that IPOB has singled their state as a guinea pig that will make them the only Igbo state without an elected governor in the South-east". What this means is that our vote doesn't count.

"There are many people out there working seriously to see that the commission fails in its commitment to recording free, fair and credible election and you must have this in mind".

"On no account must any vehicles pass through Anambra State because some politicians at the payroll of Fulani caliphate are hell-bent on causing trouble on the 18 by importing alien voters into Anambra State. Those behind this would be disappointed because we are very ready for the election".

"INEC will get rid of you if you do the wrong thing, and you are aware that those caught in the web of such negative act during the conduct of 2015 election are still facing the music", he said.

"Security identification tag will be provided for all the security and safety agencies, INEC officials, election observers/monitors and others that have statutory duties to carry out in the election".

Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.

It also warned against those who are out to undermine the emergence of the popular choice of the Anambra People and to invalidate the genuine outcome of the election.

"All of us ran away when somebody said it was a bomb".

"I don't think I know what you are talking about", the REC said.

APGA said that with level of political consciousness in Anambra State such antics of undemocratic elements will not be tolerated by the People. "Voters are therefore implored to turn out en masse, without fear of intimidation, and freely cast their votes". Also, a broad-spectrum security threats assessment is in progress.

He said, "The stakeholders meeting in Anambra State has been fixed for Tuesday, November 14". We want the federal government to produce Nnamdi Kanu with immediate effect or there will be no peace.
