Ubisoft's Resistance update 1.8 has landed

The Division Details Update 1.8 All DLC Free This Weekend The Division Details Update 1.8; All DLC Free This Weekend
Frank Williams | 05 December, 2017, 16:04

Ubisoft said last week that the 1.8 update to The Division would be out sometime this week. The PVP Skirmish mode, meanwhile, pits two teams of four agents against each other in a competition to get the highest kill count in timed matches. It adds a new area called West Side Pier, which (as well as the usual open world activities) will feature two new modes of play. Resistance is a horde-like mode where four players can take down waves of enemy factions from Manhatten, with players receiving different rewards depending on how long they are able to survive for. This free period will be available across all available platforms and accessible to free weekend players. In fact, the developer Massive Entertainment is ready to release the "largest ever free update" for the third-person shooter tomorrow, and as a way to celebrate, the studio is offering free access to the game's three DLC packs this weekend, starting on December 7 and ending on December 10. The latter is a wave-based survival mode where players must hold out against continuous AI-controlled enemy assaults. All DLC in the season pass will be free to all players, including those trying it for free, from December 5-10. Using cooperative tactics is strongly encouraged, as is using the resources dropped by enemies to set up defenses or extend the battlefield.
