Chiefs corner Marcus Peters suspended vs. Raiders, Andy Reid announces

Andy Reid giving up playcalling duty to Chiefs' offensive coordinator Kansas City Chiefs suspend Marcus Peters for game against Raiders

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters has been suspended by the team for Week 14's meeting with the Oakland Raiders.

Peters played all 82 defensive snaps in the Chiefs Week 7 loss to the Raiders at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, totaling two tackles, and providing his usual, tight coverage all evening.

Peters was not wearing socks or leg pads when he returned to the sideline, but, per Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star, Reid didn't say which of the developments warranted a suspension. "I haven't made any decision either way", Reid said.

The Chiefs have lost six of their last seven games after getting off to a 5-0 start, so Peters is nearly certainly not the only player who is frustrated. Peters will not be paid his standard game check and will not be allowed to practice either.

Labor Senator Katy Gallagher faces High Court referral over dual citizenship
He said there was no doubt that the Labor MPs had dual citizenship at the time of the 2016 election. These MPs had not provided the needed evidence to prove they weren't dual citizens, he said.

Following the game, Reid said: "That's why he left the field". Peters had been flagged for unsportsman-like conduct but was not ejected.

Reid made the announcement in a news conference Wednesday.

According to a report from the Washington Post, Peters threw a referee's flag into the crowd after a holding penalty was called on a teammate. The finish to that game - with penalties on back-to-back plays on the Raiders' late game-winning drive - was eerily similar to Sunday's meltdown.
