Police arrested a man Tuesday afternoon for the murder of Lorenzen Wright, more than seven years after the former National Basketball Association player's body was found outside of Memphis. After the arrest was made she told Memphis's WREG-TV "Thank you, Jesus".

The 6-foot-11 (210-centimeter) Wright played for the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies and three other National Basketball Association teams as a forward and center over 13 seasons before retiring in 2009. He retired in 2009 with a career average of 8.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Born and raised in Memphis, he was a fan favorite thanks to his charity work with youth and his father's involvement as a coach in summer leagues.

Wright, a 6-foot-11 Memphis native, University of Memphis standout and 13-year professional player, was last heard from on July 19, 2010, during a 911 call to a dispatcher in Germantown, Tenn., shortly after midnight.

Five things you never knew about Johnny Hallyday
Born in 1943, he changed his name from Jean-Philippe Smet to Johnny Hallyday , and found fame as a rock star in the 1950s. Worldwide songstress and Billboard Icon Award-winning artist Celine Dion took to Twitter to pay homage to the late singer.

An affidavit alleges Wright told her he planned to "flip something for $110,000".

Sherra Wright said Lorenzen Wright left her home in a vehicle with a person she could not identify.

The next day police received a phone call from Wright's cellphone, but it was interrupted by gunfire, according to the D.A. Though the call reportedly included sounds of apparent gunshots, the dispatcher did not send any emergency personnel and only let a supervisor know about the suspicious call days later. "They said they found the murder weapon". That info was not given to the Memphis PD until several days later and authorities also failed to make a timely connection to the missing person report. Wright's deteriorated body was found in a field near some woods in the height of summer - which complicated the investigation. Wright's playing weight was around 225 pounds. Wright's body was eventually found in badly decomposed state, with bullet fragments in his chest, head, and one of his forearms.
