If that didn't excite you, it has now been announced that the reboot will hail from executive producers Peele, Kinberg, and Daredevil showrunner Marco Ramirez. The series, which used fantasy, science fiction, suspense and psychological thriller genre elements in each episode, was notable for its use of a macabre twist toward the end and its the moral message the episode was trying to get across. Key to the reboots is having the original producers attached, which would be CBS Television Studios in the case of The Twilight Zone.

Today CBS All Access announced the reboot has been ordered to series, meaning Jordan Peele and suspense fans alike are in for a treat.

Peele made an impression as a director with his first film, Get Out, released in February.

Peele and Simon Kinberg are about to enter a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. Win Rosenfeld (Nova ScienceNow, Dark Net) and Audrey Chon (Changeling, Old Boy) are also set to executive produce.

"Kinberg, who is known for his work on the "X-Men" film franchise and "Sherlock Holmes" said, "'The Twilight Zone' was a touchstone in my life. Twilight Zone has also been adapted into comic books, novels, stage productions, radio and games.

Created by Rod Sterling, the original Twilight Zone has always been considered the godfather of sci-fi television; the show explored humanity's hopes, despairs, and prides and prejudices in metaphoric ways.

The Twilight Zone revival arrives as individual episodic anthologies have become increasingly popular following shows like Netflix's Black Mirror, HBO's Room 104 and TBS' The Guest Book. It has been revived twice before- for a three season run on CBS beginning in 1985, and for a one season run on UPN beginning in 2002.
