Flesh-eating bacteria from oysters led to the death of one Texas woman in October and two of her friends are now trying to raise awareness about the danger, KLFY-TV reported.

Jeanette LeBlanc was visiting friends and family in Louisiana back in September when she picked up a sack of raw oysters from a local market while on a crabbing trip.

According to KLFY, doctors told LeBlanc she had vibriosis - a flesh-eating bacteria.

About 36 hours later, LeBlanc started having breathing problems and developed a rash on her legs.
