The U.S. will be only the second country with LG Pay. LG is also reportedly considering calling the platform "LG Wallet" when it brings to it to North America. The company is said to be planning to launch the service in the US during the first half of 2018 to coincide with the release of its next flagship Android smartphone. Initially, LG was rumored to be developing a programmable "White Card" to be used in traditional terminals. It uses NFC technology and a form of magnetic component to communicate with compatible terminals. In addition to the regular NFC method, it uses Magnetic Secure Transmission or MST, a technology it acquired from LoopPay. The LG G7 will be announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona by late February and then will be available for sale by April, so maybe that's when we can expect LG Pay as well.

The report may be accurate on the LG Wallet name.

LG Pay will not only be for premium smartphones though - LG plans to expand its mobile payment system to its mid-range smartphones in the U.S. sometime in 2019. When it launches in the United States, it will only be available with the LG G7 and the V40 premium smartphones. News of a potential rebranding first came out earlier this month when Android Police caught that LG briefly uploaded a LG Wallet app to the U.S. Google Play Store. The site also said that LG plans to further expand the availability of LG Pay to its mid-range smartphones in the US for 2019.

No Official Confirmation From Pakistan on Suspension of Cooperation
Reports also suggested that the USA decision to block aid to Pakistan could affect about 2 billion US dollars worth of assistance. Pakistan says the United States is scapegoating it for US failures in Afghanistan.

Samsung released its mobile payment system in 2015 and is now available in 21 countries.

According to a report published today, LG Pay is finally going to expand out of South Korea.

Samsung Pay has one advantage over its biggest competitors, Apple Pay and Google Pay, formerly Android Pay/Google Wallet.
