Slithering involves soldiers coming down from a hovering helicopter through a rope.

It is reported by the media sources that Three Army personnel were injured during a security drill at the Army's parade ground in New Delhi.

Soon after the accident, all three injured jawans were immediately taken to the hospital by the Indian Army.

As per reports, the mishap that reportedly occurred on January 9, has raised several questions on the safety parameters being followed by the Indian Army while conducting such rehearsals. The jawans, who were performing slithering operation, fell down to the ground after the helicopter boom malfunctioned.

The fight is expected to be announced for the end of March in Cardiff's Principality Stadium if the final negotiations go according to plans.

"Slithering operation ceases for all ALH with immediate effect after the accident".

The incident took place on Tuesday and involved an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv. The ceremony is being held annually on this day since 1949.

A video shows two soldiers sliding down the rope hanging from Dhruv helicopter. It is a practice which army commands usually do while going for an operation in a hostile area. Following the incident, display of slithering operations has been cancelled for the Army Day parade on January 15, sources in the Indian Army said. The Army has ordered an inquiry into the matter. "A team from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited that manufactures the chopper is in Delhi for investigation" he said.
