UPDATED, 12:51 PM: Power is being restored to the world's largest consumer electronics trade show, following more than hour-long outage.
The unthinkable has happened at the annual electronic devices expo in Las Vegas - there's been a power cut.
Attendees managed to safely navigate their way around the convention center in the dark thanks to the light pouring in from in the windows and battery operated signs. Security personnel evacuated attendees from the affected areas at the time.
Of course, there were tweets that still reminded us of how we take things like electricity for granted especially with parts of Puerto Rico still without power and are still suffering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria. Some meeting rooms in the South Hall also lost power but was restored within minutes.
Guests and exhibitors were surprised when the power went out at the Las Vegas Convention center shortly after 11 a.m. on the second day of the CES.

Update 6:39pm CT, Jan. 10: The CES blackout was caused by "condensation from heavy rainfall" on a transformer at the Las Vegas Convention Center, convention authorities said in a statement Wednesday.
CES, celebrating its 51st birthday, has more exhibitors than ever this year - 4,000 from 150 countries.
It wasn't a case of too many gadgets being plugged in, but a rainstorm knocking out the main power-lines. The power outrage, caused by an error with fairly rudimentary electronics, is ironic considering the wealth of next-generation technology exhibited throughout the event.
Technology brands including Intel, IBM, ISPN and Texas Instruments were quick to jump onto the #CESblackout hashtag, with many taking a cheeky communications approach to the situation.
