If you're a frequent user of Airbnb, there's some good news for you. The home-sharing company is now offering "Pay Less Up Front", a payment process that defers half of the cost of a stay until the traveler's check-in date draws closer.
"We understand it can be hard to pay for all of your holiday upfront, especially in January when the purse-strings have to be held particularly tight".
It follows Airbnb's decision to roll out a global Split Payments tool previous year, which allows people to divvy up the cost of their booking and pay individually over a 72 hour period in which the home is held for them.
Airbnb is introducing a new way for users to pay for rentals, letting them reserve accommodation by paying 50 percent upfront and 50 percent before they arrive.

This isn't the first new payment feature Airbnb has introduced lately. The digital platform features a chat facility to connect with the travel director and fellow travellers, a travel journal, a place to share plans and photos, e-documentation storage, easy hotel check-in, and the ability to send ahead dietary requirements to the next hotel. Your guests must have an Airbnb account to use this feature.
