"We have investments from Abu Dhabi in India but we are exploring big ticket investments", he said. He underlined India's support for a sovereign and independent Palestine and hoped for return of peace in the region.

Prime Minister Modi will meet President Abbas on February 10 in Ramallah.

Trump in December shocked the Palestinians by breaking with decades of United States policy and recognising Occupied al-Quds as Israel's capital. Trump's decision to declare Jerusalem as Israel's capital angered the Palestinians, sparked protests in the Middle East and raised concern that it could further destabilise the region.
