Bentley has unveiled the all-new Bentayga Hybrid, following a leak earlier today. Fortunately for it, the Volkswagen parts bin includes some of the best in the business, and you won't be surprised to hear that the Bentayga's vital components are shared with the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.

There's no price for the vehicle just yet as it isn't due to go on sale till later this year, following its public reveal at Geneva tomorrow.

However, the Bentayga is a special level of luxury. There will be a few other ways to identify the plug-in version.

Two bespoke bags that live in the boot space carry the cables needed to plug the hybrid Bentayga into a wall socket or rapid charger.

Barkley, Mayfield impress at National Football League combine
Barkley posted an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.41, which indicates dynamic speed at his weight to go with the explosiveness. Still, Barkley was satisfied with how he performed in the receiving drills, which he considers a vital component of his game.

What's new here is the fitment of an even smaller 3.0 litre petrol V6, and it's paired with a high-efficiency electric motor that also doubles as a generator to recharge the battery. Bentley says the hybrid will get 50 kilometers or about 31 miles of range on the European cycle. In addition, the vehicle will be equipped with a switch for three E Modes, EV Drive, Hybrid Mode and Hold Mode, the latter being used to keep battery power in reserve so that the vehicle can be operated in emission-free EV mode at its destination city. The infotainment screen can display energy flow in each mode, showing whether the auto is running on battery power or engine power - or whether power is flowing back to the battery in order to charge it.

The hybrid also has a different infotainment screen than the original Bentayga to supply details on the plug-in's performance, consumption and energy source. The tachometer also gets redesigned to feature a dial that shows when the auto is operating in pure EV Drive, or the current engine speed if the combustion engine is in operation. The digital tachometer changes to an "EV Drive" gauge when the petrol engine is not operating and the engine temperature gauge has been ditched in favour of a battery status readout.

Starck's Power Dock concept will encourage customers to plug-in whenever they are at home, thus ensuring each journey begins with the maximum electric-only range. Order books will open later this year and the vehicle will be on display at the Geneva motor show from tomorrow, March 6. The U.S. will follow shortly after, according to a Bentley spokesperson who didn't give a specific date.

Pricing hasn't been announced, but orders open in the latter half of 2018.
