We were not consulted on Uhuru-Raila meeting, Nasa co-principals say

Mudavadi Rejects Unity Agreement Reached Between President Uhuru and Raila You have betrayed us, Miguna tells Odinga

President Uhuru echoed Raila's sentiments stating that "the national good must always prevail".

Mr Kenyatta said: "We will begin a process of discussing what ails us and what creates division amongst us".

The NASA leaders said they only learned of the talks between the two top politicians through the media.

Two months ago, there were fears of a fresh outbreak of violence in Kenya as scores of supporters of Odinga gathered in Nairobi to swear in the opposition leader as president.

The two referred to each other as "brother" and told Kenyans of their resolve to quash their differences and heal Kenya.

Supreme Court allows Passive Euthanasia
The five-judge Constitution bench headed by the Chief Justice of India said, "human beings have a right to die with dignity". While the Centre was in agreement on the question of allowing passive euthanasia , it opposed the concept of living will .

"I want to state that all along we have been demanding for dialogue between NASA and Jubilee".

His remarks followed a joint statement he and his co-principals; Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi released Friday afternoon, divulging that they were not informed about Mr. Odinga and Mr. Kenyatta's meeting.

The two men have defied calls from Kenyan civil society, religious leaders and Western diplomats to hold talks to overcome deep divisions opened up by the disputed elections.

The decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold dialogue with Raila Odinga were met with mixed reactions in the South Rift. Kenya is sharply divided along ethnic lines because of the political stand-off. These relationships are too often characterised by aggressive antagonism and competition. "President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga are standing together to urge every Kenyan, every political leader and formation to compete without using ethnic profiling or by promoting disdain for any group", added the statement.

"Mr Odinga's unilateral, irrational and erratic decision to betray the fight for electoral justice, the culture of impunity and the flagrant abuse of human rights that have become routine under the illegitimate regime of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto can not be justified", he said in a statement.
