And SO excited by what we have planned.

The news only gets better though, as director Patty Jenkins has confirmed that Kristen Wiig, one of the brightest stars in comedy is coming on board as the next big bad, Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman's fiercest enemies.

For those who don't know about Cheetah, she is known to be one of Wonder's woman's deadliest nemesis.

Suddenly, one of the characters turns around to see famous Nintendo characters Link and Mario standing behind her. For the sake of doing this justice, I'll be candid and say that I'm really not one for reaction videos.

The casting, as shocking as it may be at first, is one of the first official details concerning Wonder Woman's sequel.

There's no word yet on how closely the film will follow the comics, but Wiig is sure to be entertaining in the role.

See what she did there? "#Cheetah! @GalGadot (sic)", Jenkins wrote, alongside Wiig's picture. The Hollywood Reporter reported in February that Wiig was in talks to play the character. It's also believed that the sequel will take place during the 1980s amid the Cold War. Kristen Wiig gained recognition for her work at "Saturday Night Live" and from films such as "Bridesmaids", "Ghostbusters", and "The Martian". Some fans were hoping that Charlize Theron would play Cheetah, because of her previous work with Patty Jenkins. Diana returned a few months later for Justice League, and her next DC Extended Universe appearance will be Wonder Woman 2, which hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
