Free agent quarterback Mark Sanchez was issued a four-game suspension by the National Football League on Friday after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, but says he unknowingly took the banned substances. "During the past 9 years as an National Football League player I have been subject to 73 drug tests - an average of over 8 tests per season - and all but one have been clean".

The free agent quarterback released a statement on Instagram, claiming to be "blind-sided" by the news that he tested positive for a banned substance. According to the NFL's drug testing policy, 10 players from each team are tested each week during the regular season and preseason.

Sanchez did not make an appearance in a game for the Bears past year as he sat behind Mitchell Trubisky and Mike Glennon.

Sanchez was the fifth overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.

This check was already required prior to the engine reaching a flying threshold of 2000 cycles (one way journeys). It adds that it will work with Boeing and the 787 customers affected in an effort to reduce disruption.

"The timing and results of my tests establish circumstances of unknowing supplement contamination, not the use of performance enhancing substances". He appeared in just two games for the Cowboys in 2016. Sanchez has yet to find a new team after serving as the Bears third-stringer on a one-year deal last season.

He has a career 37-35 record with 15,219 passing yards, 86 touchdowns and 86 interceptions.

An NFL quarterback has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 NFL season.

Bears quarterback Mark Sanchez didn't play during the regular season a year ago.
