Google updates Pixel Buds with support for new gestures

Google’s Pixel Buds finally let you skip tracks with a double tap Google adds new gestures and pairing features to Pixel Buds

Google's Pixel Buds are... divisive.

One of the complaints levied at the devices was a lack of controls and customizable gestures. Additionally, if listening to music, you can change the double-tap to allow you to skip tracks (thank, God!) instead of checking for notifications.

Store visitors will get the opportunity to go hands-on with the tech in an interactive environment, alongside Google Assistant queries hidden throughout the store.

First up, you can triple-tap the right earbud to turn your Pixel Buds off or on, something Google says users have been requesting.

Director Peter Berg is familiar with Mark having worked with him on Lone Survivor , Patriots Day and Deepwater Horizon .

Google's controversial Pixel Buds are picking up a new function update, with Google announcing new controls and easier pairing are coming to the earbuds.

Lastly, Pixel Buds now work better when paired to multiple devices.

Maybe I'm being too picky, but I wish on/off were active quadruple-tap.

Google Pixel Buds let you do a lot with just a quick touch. You can continue to use a Google Assistant voice command to skip tracks, even if you assign two taps to the "next" track feature. The update rolls out beginning today and should be available to most users by early next week.
