Italy's League chief sees government program completed Wednesday

Italy's top two parties demand re-vote rather than… Italian party asks for more time to form govt.

Italy's anti-establishment 5-Star Movement and the far-right League expect to complete a joint policy agenda on Wednesday, paving the way for a coalition government, League leader Matteo Salvini said on Wednesday.

The two parties have held six days of talks aimed at putting together a coalition government and ending 10 weeks of political stalemate following an inconclusive election on March 4.

"From Europe we have the umpteenth unacceptable interference (...); now is the time for legality, security and push-backs", Salvini said.

In a live Facebook stream, Salvini said the two parties would update Italian president Sergio Mattarella by Monday on their efforts to form a government.

Senate likely to vote Wednesday to restore net neutrality
House of Representatives will even vote on the issue or President Trump would impart his required signature on the matter. For almost all of the past 10 years, the FCC has had in place rules that sought to guarantee net-neutrality protections.

Salvini, saying he was "optimistic but realistic" about a deal, took rhetorical aim via social media at European Union migration commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos. In it, the parties said they planned to ask the European Central Bank to forgive 250 billion euros ($296 billion) of Italian debt purchased under the euro zone central bank's quantitative easing (QE) program. Both parties have made clear they intend to fight the EU's Stability Pact. Italy's 10-year bond yield climbed almost 19 basis points to 2.13 percent and that was its highest level since early March and the biggest one-day rise since March 2017.

Avramopoulos praised Italy for the management of the Mediterranean migration crisis, crediting Italy with saving migrant lives at sea.

According to Italian media reports, their nominee for Prime Minister is likely be from a "third party" and will have to be able to make the eurosceptic nature of the new government workable with Brussels.

He also said the only alternative to a deal was another election.
