Two recent polls suggest the New Democrats now have the most support, along with the Progressive Conservatives. "For 15 years, the Liberals have been partying with the taxpayers' money and the NDP wants to keep the party going, just with a different tune".

"I can assure you that the NDP has no cuts to the Northern Heritage Fund", she said.

The future of the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation was centre stage during Liberal leader Kathleen Wynne's visit to Sudbury on Wednesday. "When it comes to June 7 they're either going to vote in a radical NDP.or they can vote for a Doug Ford PC government".

Some observers are already encouraging voters to cast their ballots strategically. Even among Conservative supporters, 59 per cent said Ford had run the best campaign. In all, 28 per cent of those asked named her, while 23 per cent - most men - said Ford. "I think the drop that we are seeing is people are not sure anymore if Doug Ford is really.the person that can deliver what they're looking for".

Ford has pledged in recent days to act swiftly if evidence of wrongdoing by candidates surfaced.

The Liberals are attacking what they call an "irrational" plan by the NDP to start decommissioning the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station this year.

She told the crowd that PC Leader Doug Ford's plans, "would only make things worse".

Horwath said all parties agree the plant can't operate forever.

She continues to explain that Ford will be committed to "fixing Ontario's finances, creating jobs, improving health care and services, and getting our taxes and hydro bills under control". "Right now, we don't have the same commitment from every party in this election".

The Tories also held a separate news conference with two candidates to accuse the New Democrats of having several "radical" candidates, including September 11 conspiracy theorists and a woman who is against wearing a poppy on Remembrance Day.

The Forum poll goes on to say that support breaks down into 79 seats for the NDP in the Ontario legislature. "I just categorically disagree with that".

As for the New Democrats, they may be on an uptick now but they have their own stumbles as well, such as Horwath having to apologize recently for a $1.4 billion mistake in their platform due to an accounting error, which while she says she apologized for give the impression that the NDP may not be ready for prime time.
