Trump's attorney Marc Kasowitz shot back that such information would be "irrelevant", especially if these are "other women who are not claiming defamation".

While the media glare has been fixed on Stormy Daniels' $130,000 "hush money" beef with Trump, the Zervos case has advanced more rapidly.

She was among more than a dozen women who came forward late in the 2016 presidential campaign to say that Trump had sexually harassed or assaulted them.

Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Schecter didn't settle that dispute Tuesday, but began setting various deadlines, including January 31 for any depositions of Trump and Zervos. She says he subjected her to unwanted kissing and groping when she sought career advice in 2007.

He specifically contested Ms Zervos's allegations in a statement and retweeted a message that included her photo and described her claims as a "hoax".

"No one is above the law".

Summer Zervos, (R) a former contestant on "The Apprentice", arrives with lawyer Gloria Allred at the New York County Criminal Court on December 5, 2017, in New York.

At the same time, British journalist and media commentator Nick Pope voiced his opinion on the new MSL discovery on Twitter . InSight won't rely on either CubeSat for that data relay, however; that job will fall to NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

The case she referred to is the U.S. Supreme Court's 1997 decision in Clinton v. Jones.

Summer Zervos, right, a former contestant on The Apprentice, accused President Trump of sexual harassment and has filed a defamation lawsuit against him.

A judge in NY state trial court has ordered that depositions in a lawsuit against President Trump must be complete by early next year, setting up a potential showdown over whether Trump must answer questions under oath. Trump's lawyers already have asked for the case to be dismissed or postponed until after he is no longer in office - so far without success. On Tuesday, he argued unsuccessully that the case should not be allowed to proceed until the higher court has ruled on whether a sitting president can be sued in state court.

Kasowitz said at Tuesday's hearing that he may seek to exclude from the case any evidence about other women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct, though he did not make a formal motion. His lawyers have appealed the case to the New York Court of Appeals, and are still awaiting a response. Trump is now asking the Court of Appeals to impose a stay.

They also have requested any Trump campaign records concerning Zervos, any other woman who has accused Trump of inappropriate touching or the 2016 emergence of a 2005 "Access Hollywood" recording of Trump talking about aggressively groping women.

If and when Trump sits down for the deposition, he has to tell the truth or face a possible perjury charge. He survived as president, but with his reputation sullied and his political agenda in tatters.
