Today, Sony showcased the music of Last of Us Part II at Sony's E3 2018 Press Conference. In a blog post, director Neil Druckmann discussed Ellie and her motivations, while he also confirmed the role of another celebrity who is working on the game.

Sony kicked off its event this evening with the gameplay footage during which we see a casual social scene involving Ellie, one of the main characters from the original The Last of Us.

While Joel was the playable character in the first game, Ellie is the lead playable character for the sequel. The title was again teased at the Paris Games Week trade show past year and at E3 2018, we're getting another - more intimate - look at the promising sequel.

Maniacal McGregor back in court
Speaking outside the court, McGregor said: "I regret my actions that led me here today. Now, he is set to appear before the court, where there are a number of outcomes.

The action sequence ends with a machete to the throat as the visual fades back to the dance with Ellie's love interest. We know it'll be available for the PlayStation 4 and be a single-player title, but finer details like price and launch date aren't provided.

We've been teased with a breath taking reveal trailer of The Last Of Us Part 2, with Ellie killing it on a guitar, then teased again with the more elusive, mystery-surrounding trailer featuring *ahem* Ellie's mum. It took place in a dance hall that looked like the hall in which the actual E3 2018 Sony briefing was held.
