On Monday, he will leave Nairobi for his ancestral home in K'Ogelo in Siaya County to preside over the commissioning of a project by his half sister, Dr Auma Obama.

But security men are leaving nothing to chance as they protect the 44th U.S. president, who spent eight days on holiday at the Serengeti National Park in neighbouring Tanzania before jetting into Kenya.

In Nairobi, Barack met President Uhuru Kenyatta at the official residence, according to Kenyatta's twitter account.

President Kenyatta congratulated Obama for establishing the Obama Foundation, which seeks to empower youth to become the agents of change that the African continent needs.

Mr Obama last visited the village in 2006 when he was the senator for Illinois State in the US. Unlike his visit in 2015 as US President that was meticulously organised, many journalists were turned back since they were not accredited.

But when one did, bang - a player hailed as the new Pelé, the former three-time World Cup victor with Brazil, had arrived. The distance between France and Russian Federation has been driven by Russia's actions in Ukraine and Syria.

Obama announced the trip on social media last week.

He was expected to meet a number of members of his extended family, before launching the Sauti Kuu (Swahili for "Strong Voices") centre set up by his half-sister Auma Obama. "Though the roads may not be closed, there will be limited access only to those who have been accredited by the family". Odinga is working with the Kenyatta administration after an invalidated presidential election and tense political standoff, The Hill reported.

Then, it was a state visit since he was a serving US President.

Later on Obama will be leaving for South Africa where he will deliver the 16th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture in Johannesburg.

In a statement sent shortly after the meeting, the NASA leader stated: "It's always a great pleasure meeting with one of Kenya's most famous sons, President Barack Obama".
