This week, LeBron James opened The I Promise School, a fully-funded public elementary school catering to 240 at-risk teenagers in Akron, Ohio.

Heading into the weekend, the Trumpster lit up James on Twitter following an interview he did with "fake news" outlet CNN's Don Lemon.

"What I've noticed over the past few months", James shared with CNN's Don Lemon during a sit-down interview on Monday.

After watching that interview, President Donald Trump took a shot at Lemon and stated he made LeBron look smart, seemingly calling him stupid.

Mike is apparently a reference to Michael Jordan, who has often been compared to James.

China appeals for US calm after new tariff threat
Beijing said it would be forced to take countermeasures to defend Chinese interests, free trade and the global order. The tariffs discussed in this week's pronouncements are still in the threat stage; they have not yet taken effect.

He suggested that since James no longer resides or represents a swing state in OH and has moved to the state of California which is essentially a lost cause, Trump can say what he feels.

In an interview on Tuesday - also broadcast late Friday - James told CNN he believed Trump "is kind of trying to divide us".

Ohio Gov. Josh Kasich, a Republican who at times criticizes Trump, tweeted: "Rather than criticizing KingJames, we should be celebrating him for his charity work and efforts to help kids". Trump, meanwhile, is headed to OH, as he is set to hold a "Make America Great Again" rally in Lewis Center, just north of Columbus, on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Not long after the tweet went viral, National Basketball Association players came to James' defense. Students will attend school from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. and students will receive free college tuition at the University of Akron if they graduate high school. James also said he has no interest in sitting down for a face-to-face meeting Trump. I don't want my future kids growing up in a world where two Black men, accomplished in their field, are called dumb because they disagree with your views. Torrey Smith, a former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver who was among the first of that team's players to say they would not visit the White House after winning the Super Bowl this year, suggested race played a role in Trump's criticism.
