Wacken Open Air 2018 Two pensioners escape nursing home to attend heavy metal festival

Police were called to a German nursing home after they realised the gentlemen were missing from the centre, only for them to have been found at the world's biggest heavy metal festival, Wacken Open Air.

And my gran can't even stay up past 8:30pm. Authorities later located the senior headbangers at 3 a.m.at the festival, and the two golden-aged metalheads apparently were reluctant to leave.

Police reportedly found the elder pair at around 3am, with police officials stating they were "disoriented and dazed". This year's lineup featured the likes of Judas Priest, Sepultura, and Behemoth, with Friday in particular highlighted by Cannibal Corpse, In Flames, Nightwish, and Children Of Bodom.

After the nursing home alerted police to the men's disappearance, they were discovered at 3AM on the festival grounds as the final performers were winding down.

Toby Alderweireld had an awesome World Cup where he played a key role in helping Belgium finish third. Finally some great news for Manchester United fans in the transfer window .

Tickets for next year's Wacken Open Air are now on sale, with a handful of bands including Parkway Drive, Sabaton, Airbourne, Avatar and Meshuggah already confirmed.

The festival was sold out and around 75,000 people are believed to have attended between 1-4 August. And potentially getting involved with a mosh pit or two.

We can't help but wonder whether they're going to go for round two next year but one thing's for sure, if they need any help we're all over it.
