Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders join Spider-Man sequel

Avengers Infinity War,Captain Marvel,Avengers Brie Larson plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Freda Brock | 09 August, 2018, 05:11

Spoiler alert! For those who stuck around after Avengers: Infinity War, you probably saw how characters Nick Fury and Maria Hill were "killed" by Thanos. But the question is how? But "Captain Marvel" will be set in the '90s, so it's entirely possible that Obsidian collected the clothing before the events of "Infinity War". Well, we now know at least two of Thanos' victims are finding a way back, with Nick Fury and Maria Hill confirmed to be returning for Spider-Man: Far From Home. How all of this plays out onscreen is still anyone's guess, but if you dig Jackson as Fury, get ready to see a lot more of him. The actor has been spotted in London recently though, adding more fuel to the reports. Undoubtedly, Peter Parker will be all too eager to be involved in their spy world, so cue plenty of pop culture references to James Bond and Jason Bourne.

Either way, it seems Marvel is truly making it up to Jackson and Smulders for not being as big a part of Phase 3 as they were the previous Phases: Infinity War cameo, Captain Marvel origin story, and, now, a run-in with Spider-Man. But not Spider-Man. Aunt May's favorite nephew managed to hold on for nearly half a minute before succumbing. Fans need something to keep them busy as they impatiently wait for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, so going through Infinity War with a fine-toothed comb looking for clues is a way to cope. Or it means that Spidey's cool new suit gets trashed. In addition to Holland, the pair will also be joining Jake Gyllenhaal, who'll be playing Spider-Man: Far From Home's Big Bad, Mysterio. Plus, Peter Parker's classmates played by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are supposed to be back as well.

Google Pixel 3 XL Production Unit Leaks
I certainly wouldn't choose the Pixel 3 XL over the iPhone X or the many Android handsets that are far more attractive. It's quite possible this "unboxing" is simply a dummy model placed in the trappings of a Google Pixel 2 XL.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now scheduled to be released on July 5th, 2019.
