Suge was facing life in prison for killing Carter in 2015 in the parking lot of Tam's Burgers in Compton.

Marion "Suge" Knight pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter Thursday in the 2015 hit-and-run death of a man outside a Compton restaurant after a dispute related to the film "Straight Outta Compton".

The Death Row Records co-founder entered the plea in Los Angeles Superior Court and has agreed to serve 28 years in prison. The trial was speculated to begin on October 1st and would have involved unusually tight security, including the non-publication of a witness list before proceedings began, and identity suppression of some of the witnesses called.

The vehicle is then seen zooming forward, back into camera range, running over Sloan a second time, and then running over a second man, Carter, a former rap music label owner.

You'll have to watch the Captain Marvel chronological re-edit to find out. One power from the comics not seen in the trailer is flight.

The agreement also absolves Knight in two other cases, both from 2014.

Knight, who was out on bail in a robbery case at the time, fled the scene but was later arrested.

Although Knight reportedly counted Carter as a friend, prosecutors contended the collision was deliberate.

Knight collapsed during one court hearing, two of his former attorneys were indicted on witness-tampering charges, and his fiancée pleaded no contest to selling video of Knight hitting the two men with his truck. Part of the judge's instructions to the defendant include a phrase about the possibility of deportation following conviction, to which Suge said, "So, ICE can come and get me". In February of 1997, Knight was sentenced to five years in prison for violating his probation by partaking in a fight outside of a Las Vegas hotel earlier in the night before Shakur's death, which remains unsolved.
