URI box-office collection day 1: Vicky Kaushal film takes a solid start

While Priya emerged as the national crush of India after her wink from her debut film Oru Adaar Love got viral, Vicky delivered power-packed performances like films like Lust Stories, Love Per Square Foot, Sanju, Manmarziyaan and Raazi and emerged as the hearthrob of Bollywood.

It is turning out to be a good weekend as the box office collection of this week's two Hindi releases -Uri and The Accidental Prime Minister come in. It has been directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina.

Vicky described the feeling as surreal after Uri was accepted by the audience. According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film showed 40 per cent growth on Saturday, with the collections going up to around Rs 11.75-12 crore. The officer trailer of the film received an overwhelming response from the film and now when the film has been released it is generating good business.

After a good opening day box office collection, Uri: The Surgical Strike and The Accidental Prime Minister witnessed good growth in earning on Saturday (day 2).

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian army in 2016. Anupam Kher's political drama movie is giving a good competition to the film.
