Windows 10 will deprive users 7 GB of disk space

New Windows Update Will Give Your DAW More Plug-ins Windows 10 Build 18312 Brings Reserve Storage, Increased FLS Limits And More

While you can see how much hard drive space is being reserved by Windows, you'll notice that there is no way to change or disable the feature. Going forward, Microsoft will reserve disk space to roll out and install updates apps, temporary files, and system caches.

Today, Microsoft has rolled out another build for the Windows Insider users in the Fast Ring.

Finally, Microsoft has improved the Windows Subsystem for Linux Command Line Tool, making it easier to manage WSL.

Reserved storage will be introduced automatically on devices that come with version 1903 pre-installed or those where 1903 was clean installed.

Trump says he has nothing to hide about meetings with Putin
No evidence has publicly emerged that Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian officials, the Times said. Trump's ex-national security advisor, Michael Flynn, has pleaded guilty to lying to investigators about his Moscow ties.

It will also be used to store temporary files by other important Windows apps and systems, and Windows will remove these files when they are no longer necessary. It could also be lower-users will not be able to disable this feature, though they can reduce the amount by uninstalling optional features and additional languages. You can not totally remove the reserved storage but it is possible to reduce the size of the storage.

The firm says that KB 971033, an old update, should not have been installed by "an Enterprise customer who uses Key Management Service (KMS) or Multiple Activation Key (MAK) volume activation", as it was "targeted at consumer installs of Windows using retail activation". This is especially important for devices with limited storage space, and have nearly all of them used up.

Microsoft lately has been slimming down the package sizes of its Windows 10 quality updates and feature updates by delivering the bits over time. It should also prevent users from seeing an error message related to storage space when trying to update their PC. The good news here is that Microsoft is working on a fix and will provide an update when it's available.

A "feature update", which upgrades the operating system and arrives twice per year, can require "6GB-11GB or more of free space", according to a Microsoft support article.
