Speaking in an earnings call (via Variety), Disney CEO Bob Iger said that while Disney is good at many things, they're not good at that video game stuff. As a response, Iger said "we haven't been particularly good at the self-publishing side, but we've been great at the licensing side".

The service is only confirmed for the USA at present. Furthermore, it's unclear when Disney+ itself will launch, which means potential subscribers might have to wait a while longer than expected to stream Captain Marvel.

Iger also noted that Disney will make a concerted effort to market any future Deadpool films and other R-rated movies under the Disney and Marvel banners in a very particular way. However, he said, there could be room for discounts for people who wanted to sign up for multiple services and Disney's ultimate goal was to have all its streaming services use the same technology platform.

Iger hedged a little in terms of long-term plans, though, saying that the larger strategy is focused on producing original content but that third-party content will be part of the launch strategy later this year.

New Orleans Pelicans reportedly trade Nikola Mirotic to the Milwaukee Bucks
Those injury concerns aside, Mirotic's playoff experience is also something to keep in mind in the aftermath of this trade. In 32 games this season, he is averaging career highs in points (16.7) and rebounds (8.3).

In a call with Disney investors, Iger issued his pledge to maintain the status quo with Deadpool 3. Way back in 2017, he answered a similar question by saying "We think there might be an opportunity for a Marvel-R brand for something like Deadpool".

One of the franchises that Disney will get when its deal to buy the bulk of 20th Century Fox's assets is complete is the Deadpool series.

Overall, Disney revenues were slightly down at US$15.3 billion, hit by a 27% decline in studio entertainment sales, only partially offset by a 7% uptick in media networks revenues and a 5% increase in parks and consumer products.
