French No. 7 seed Pierre-Hugues Herbert downed Czech Tomas Berdych 6-2, 7-5 to set up an all-French final with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Open Sud de France in Montpellier on Saturday.

His last victory was in Antwerp in October 2017.

Tsonga will be bidding for his 17th singles title but his first since 2017. Tsonga missed seven months of the 2018 ATP Tour season following his semi-final retirement in Montpellier a year ago, ungergoing left knee surgery in April.

Russia's Daniil Medvedev reached the final of the Sofia Open in Bulgaria with a 6-2 6-4 win over Gael Monfils.
