Since the tumultuous departure of Deondre Francois, FSU has been desperately pursuing help at the quarterback position. Last month, Hornibrook said he would transfer from Wisconsin after he graduates from business school in May.

Alex Hornibrook #12 of the Wisconsin Badgers throws a pass during warmups prior to playing the Michigan Wolverines on October 13, 2018 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In nine games in 2018, Hornibrook completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 1,532 yards and 13 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.

The former Wisconsin quarterback started the last three seasons for the Badgers but chose to leave the program after winter workouts following an injury-riddled redshirt-junior season in 2018. The Badgers finished the season with an 8-5 record.

Add another milestone to the storied career of Florida State baseball coach Mike Martin.

The left-hander, who has had three wildly inconsistent seasons in Madison, will join Willie Taggart's Seminoles and compete for the QB1 job with James Blackman. He missed four games last season with a concussion.

Based on his time in Tallahassee so far, Blackman presumably has the inside track to start over Hornibrook - but at least there's some competition now. Jordan Travis transferred in from Louisville but is waiting to hear whether he will get a waiver for immediate eligibility.
